One cloud phone platform for groups and multiple companies (isolated per entity)

SKYLINE Knowledge Base

Run a holding group, franchise or reseller portfolio on one cloud phone platform where every company and branch gets its own isolated tenant and numbering — so everyone can reuse 101 for reception — with central management and per-seat billing.

Holding groups, franchises and IT partners often face the same awkward problem: several distinct companies, each wanting its own clean phone setup, but no appetite for running a separate phone box and contract for every entity. Skyline Comms solves this with a multi-tenant design. It is Skyline's fully managed cloud business phone system, delivered from Skyline Cloud, and it lets each company or branch run its own private, isolated phone system while you manage and bill the whole portfolio centrally.

This article focuses on the multi-entity and reseller angle: how tenant isolation works, why every company can reuse extension 101 for reception, and how groups, franchises and partners use one platform to serve many businesses at once.

What "multi-tenant" actually means here

A multi company cloud PBX group phone system is one platform that hosts many separate phone systems side by side. Each business sits in its own tenant — a private, isolated space in the Skyline cloud with its own extensions, IVR, call routing, recordings and reports — and tenants do not see or touch one another.

Because every entity has its own numbering space, there are no clashes between companies. Company A's reception can be 101, Company B's reception can also be 101, and a franchise's tenth outlet can use the very same plan as its first. Nobody has to renumber to fit a shared scheme, and nobody inherits another company's dial plan by accident.

There is no on-premise PBX box, no phone server and no rack at any site. Each company simply connects its phones — desk IP handsets, the desktop softphone, or the iOS and Android mobile apps — over an internet connection. Who this suits

Holding groups and conglomerates

Give each subsidiary its own isolated tenant — complete with its own company number, IVR and extension plan — while the group keeps one relationship, one portal and one consolidated view. Each company runs independently; the group oversees the whole estate.

Franchises and chains

Franchise operations thrive on consistency. Roll out the same proven extension plan, IVR script and call-routing template to every outlet, each in its own tenant. Every branch's reception is 101, every store's queue behaves the same way, and onboarding a new franchisee means provisioning another tenant — not shipping hardware.

Resellers and IT partners

Partners who want to offer phone service to their own customers can do so on top of Skyline Comms. You provision a separate, isolated tenant per client, manage them from one place, and present the service under your own customer relationship. Because billing is per seat, your costs track exactly with how many extensions each client uses.

Isolation, reused numbering and central control

The value of multi-tenancy comes from getting two things at once: strict separation between entities and a single point of management.

| Capability | What it means for a group or reseller | | --- | --- | | Isolated tenant per company | Each business has its own extensions, IVR, routing, recordings and reports — invisible to other tenants. | | Reusable numbering | Every company and branch can keep its own plan; reception = 101 everywhere, with no conflicts. | | Per-tenant company number | Each entity presents its own local number and caller ID; customers never see the parent or sibling brands. | | Central management | Provision, change and report across the whole portfolio from the Skyline Cloud portal. | | Per-seat billing | One predictable per-extension monthly fee in SAR, scaling cleanly as you add or remove tenants and seats. |

Each tenant also gets the full feature set independently: auto-attendant / IVR menus, ring groups and call queues, voicemail-to-email, call recording, business-hours and holiday routing, transfer, conferencing, extension dialling, local DID numbers, and call reports. Many entities, still free internal calling

Isolation does not have to mean fragmentation. Within a single company's tenant, branch-to-branch and city-to-city extension calls are internal and free on one unified dial plan — the same multi-site behaviour described in Connect all your branch offices on one phone system. So a group gets the best of both: each company is cleanly separated, yet each company's own offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam still talk to each other as free internal calls.

Opening a new entity or outlet is as easy as opening a new branch: provision the tenant, add extensions in the admin console, and staff sign in on IP phones, the softphone or the mobile apps. A new site only needs an internet connection — no hardware to ship or install.

Connectivity, security and reliability

Voice is encrypted in transit by default across every tenant — call signalling over TLS and audio over SRTP. For companies or remote staff who want phones kept completely off the public internet, Skyline offers an optional private encrypted VPN tunnel so all voice rides an isolated path between the site and the Skyline cloud — more in Secure cloud calling: encryption and private VPN connectivity.

Skyline provisions local Saudi numbers and supports porting existing numbers through licensed local carriers, so each entity keeps its familiar number. The platform is cloud-hosted with carrier-grade redundancy, and if a site's internet drops, calls can fail over to the mobile app or to mobile numbers so no tenant misses a call. Skyline Comms is hosted from Skyline's cloud and designed around Saudi expectations — aligned with CST/CITC telecom regulation for voice, and built with NCA and PDPL data-protection considerations in mind. Tenant isolation also helps each company keep its own call data separate from the rest of the group.

Frequently asked questions

Can two different companies both use extension 101?

Yes. Each company runs in its own isolated tenant with its own numbering space, so reception can be 101 in every company and every branch without any conflict. Tenants never share or clash on extensions.

Is one company able to see another company's calls or recordings?

No. Tenants are isolated from each other. Each entity's extensions, call routing, recordings and reports stay within its own tenant and are not visible to other companies on the platform.

Can I resell Skyline Comms to my own customers?

Yes. Resellers and IT partners can provision a separate, isolated tenant per customer, manage them centrally through the Skyline Cloud portal, and bill per seat in SAR. To discuss partner arrangements, contact Skyline for a quote.

How is a multi-entity setup billed?

It is a low, predictable per-seat (per-extension) monthly fee in Saudi Riyals through the Skyline Cloud portal, with no upfront capital cost for hardware. Your bill scales with the number of tenants and extensions you run — see live pricing in the portal or review cloud phone system cost in Saudi Arabia.

Do I still get free internal calls inside each company?

Yes. Within a single company's tenant, all branches share one dial plan, so branch-to-branch and city-to-city extension calls are internal and free. Isolation between companies does not affect free internal calling inside each one.
