Our installation service begins with a physical and network site survey: line-of-sight and field-of-view validation for each camera position, lux and IR-range checks for entrances, loading bays, perimeters and dark corridors, and a cabling route plan that respects fire-stopping and containment standards. We mount and aim Dahua bullet, dome, turret, PTZ, fisheye and ANPR cameras, terminate and test structured cabling, and provision Power-over-Ethernet either from the NVR's built-in PoE switch ports or from dedicated PoE switches with appropriate power budgets.

On the recording side we rack and commission Dahua NVRs, DVRs and XVRs, populate and configure surveillance-grade hard drives, set RAID where the chassis supports it, and validate the storage-to-channel-to-retention equation so your 30-day (or contractually required) retention is actually achievable at the configured resolution and frame rate. We initialize every device with a strong unique password, set NTP time sync, configure the correct ports (TCP 37777, UDP 37778, HTTP 80, RTSP 554, HTTPS 443), and harden default access before the system goes live.

For multi-camera rollouts we use the Dahua ConfigTool to batch-initialize devices, assign sequential static IP addresses, and push firmware so the fleet ships at a known-good, consistent baseline rather than a mix of factory defaults.

Hardware on a wall is not a surveillance system until it is configured correctly. We tune each Dahua camera's main and sub stream (resolution, frame rate, bit-rate mode, I-frame interval and H.265/Smart Codec settings) to balance image quality against storage and bandwidth. We build recording schedules that combine continuous, motion and event-triggered recording so storage is spent where it matters, and we configure the sub-stream (subtype=1) for low-bandwidth remote viewing while the main stream (subtype=0) carries evidential-quality footage.

Where the cameras support it, we configure Dahua smart events such as IVS tripwire and intrusion detection, SMD (Smart Motion Detection) for human/vehicle filtering to cut false alarms, and ANPR for gate and parking scenarios. We wire these events to recording, snapshot, email and alarm-output actions, and where appropriate surface them into SSMS and your operations workflow. For estates that outgrow a single recorder, Dahua DSS (Digital Surveillance System) provides centralized management of cameras, NVRs, DVRs, decoders, video walls, access control and ANPR across multiple sites. SKYLINE deploys and configures DSS Express and DSS Pro, organizes devices into logical site/role trees, configures user roles and permissions, builds video-wall layouts and tour schemes, and sets storage, redundancy (including hot-standby and N+M where the platform supports it) and centralized recording policies.

Because DSS and Dahua devices speak the open ONVIF protocol, we can also integrate third-party and mixed-vendor cameras into the same management plane. Our support service keeps Dahua systems healthy long after handover. We offer scheduled preventive maintenance (lens cleaning, firmware currency, disk-health/SMART review, time-sync verification, retention audits) and reactive break-fix for the faults that actually occur in the field: cameras dropping off the NVR, 'no video' or 'connection failed' on a channel, RTSP streams that won't open, PoE power-budget exhaustion, recording gaps, password lockouts, and disk failures.

Typical troubleshooting we resolve quickly: a camera that won't bind because the NVR and camera are on mismatched subnets; an RTSP URL failing because of an incorrect channel/subtype or a special character in the password that must be URL-encoded; ONVIF discovery failing because of disabled multicast or a blocked port; and 'storage full / overwrite not behaving' because of a misconfigured recording schedule. Beyond install-and-leave, SKYLINE delivers integration work that turns surveillance into operational value. We integrate Dahua cameras and recorders with access-control and alarm panels, expose live and recorded streams to dashboards and digital-signage walls over RTSP, and pull events and metadata into business systems where the platform's HTTP/API and ONVIF interfaces allow.
