Fortinet FortiGate Firewall Installation & Support in Saudi Arabia - SKYLINE Services in Saudi Arabia

Overview

SKYLINE installs, configures, supports and troubleshoots Fortinet FortiGate NGFW, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiCare for organizations across Saudi Arabia.
SKYLINE installs, configures, supports and troubleshoots the full Fortinet Security Fabric for organizations across Saudi Arabia, with FortiGate next-generation firewalls (NGFW) at the center. Whether you are protecting a single branch in Riyadh, a multi-site retail network across Jeddah and Dammam, or an industrial OT environment in Jubail or Yanbu, our engineers deliver the complete lifecycle: design, racking and cabling, FortiOS configuration, policy migration, day-two operations and break-fix support.A FortiGate is not just a stateful firewall. It consolidates firewalling, intrusion prevention (IPS), application control, web filtering, antivirus, SSL/TLS deep inspection, SD-WAN and IPsec/SSL VPN into a single appliance, accelerated in hardware by Fortinet's purpose-built NP7 network processors and CP9 content processors. That consolidation is exactly why it has become the default firewall in so many Saudi data centers and branch networks, but it only delivers value when it is engineered correctly. A misconfigured NGFW silently degrades to a slow packet filter. SKYLINE makes sure yours does not.We work across the Fortinet portfolio relevant to most Saudi deployments: FortiGate hardware and virtual (FortiGate-VM) firewalls, FortiManager for centralized multi-device policy management, FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging, reporting and analytics, and FortiCare support and FortiGuard security subscriptions. We do not resell licenses you do not need, and we will tell you plainly when a smaller model or a simpler design is the right answer.

A FortiGate is not just a stateful firewall. SKYLINE makes sure yours does not.

We work across the Fortinet portfolio relevant to most Saudi deployments: FortiGate hardware and virtual (FortiGate-VM) firewalls, FortiManager for centralized multi-device policy management, FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging, reporting and analytics, and FortiCare support and FortiGuard security subscriptions. We do not resell licenses you do not need, and we will tell you plainly when a smaller model or a simpler design is the right answer.

Installation and initial deployment

A clean install is the foundation everything else depends on. Our deployment workflow covers physical and logical bring-up end to end:

  • Sizing and model selection — we size the FortiGate to your real throughput needs with security services enabled (not the marketing 'firewall throughput' number), because IPS, SSL inspection and antivirus all consume capacity. Undersizing is the single most common cause of post-deployment performance complaints.
  • Rack, power and high availability — dual-unit FGCP HA clusters (active-passive or active-active) with heartbeat links, so a single hardware failure does not take your perimeter offline.
  • FortiOS firmware — installing a stable, vendor-recommended FortiOS release and a sane upgrade path, avoiding the bleeding-edge build that introduces regressions.
  • Interfaces, VLANs and zones — WAN, LAN, DMZ, guest and OT segmentation defined as interfaces and zones from day one.
  • Routing and WAN — static and dynamic routing, dual-ISP failover and SD-WAN where multiple links exist.
  • Administrative hardening — trusted-host restrictions on admin access, MFA for administrators, disabling unused services, and renaming/strong-passwording the default admin account.

For organizations replacing a legacy firewall (Cisco ASA, SonicWall, older FortiGate, or another vendor), we run a structured policy migration so you do not lose rules or accidentally open holes during cutover, and we schedule the switchover in a maintenance window with a tested rollback plan.

Configuration: policies, NAT, VPN and security profiles

Configuration is where a FortiGate earns its keep. We build firewall policies on least-privilege principles — every rule has a defined source and destination interface, named address objects, an explicit service, a schedule and logging enabled — rather than the broad 'any/any' rules that quietly defeat the purpose of a firewall.

Our configuration scope includes:

  • Firewall policies with proper object naming, interface/zone pairing and logging, configured through the GUI or directly in the FortiOS CLI for repeatability.
  • NAT — source NAT (SNAT) with IP pools, destination NAT via Virtual IPs (VIPs) for inbound services, and Central NAT where the design calls for centralized SNAT/DNAT tables.
  • VPN — site-to-site IPsec tunnels (IKEv2) between branches and to cloud, SSL-VPN and IPsec dial-up remote access for staff, and ADVPN for hub-and-spoke scaling.
  • Security profiles (UTM) — IPS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, DNS filtering and SSL/TLS deep inspection, tuned to inspect what matters without breaking legitimate applications.
  • SD-WAN — performance SLAs, application steering and link health checks across MPLS, fiber and LTE/5G backup links.
  • Authentication — integration with Active Directory / LDAP / RADIUS, FSSO for identity-based policies, and MFA.

For a hands-on, command-level walkthrough of building a policy with NAT, see our knowledge base article Configure a FortiGate firewall policy and NAT from the CLI.

Centralized management with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer

Managing one firewall through the web UI is fine. Managing ten across multiple sites that way is how mistakes happen. For multi-site Saudi organizations we deploy FortiManager as the single pane of glass for configuration: policy packages pushed to many FortiGates at once, ADOMs (administrative domains) to separate business units or customers, automated configuration backups, revision history with rollback, and a local FortiGuard update mirror so devices pull signatures internally.

For visibility and compliance we deploy FortiAnalyzer as the central log collector and analytics engine. It aggregates traffic, threat, VPN and event logs from every FortiGate; provides pre-built and custom reports (useful for management and for audit evidence); supports log retention to meet your data-retention requirements; and its security automation content packs add correlation and SOC-lite capabilities on top of raw logging. We size FortiAnalyzer by your daily log volume (GB/day) and configure secure log forwarding from each firewall.

Together, FortiManager + FortiAnalyzer turn a fleet of independent boxes into a managed, auditable platform — which is what regulated Saudi sectors (finance, healthcare, government, energy) increasingly require.

Support, troubleshooting and break-fix

Firewalls fail at the worst possible time. SKYLINE provides ongoing support and rapid troubleshooting so you are not reading CLI references at 2 a.m. Our support work covers:

  • Connectivity and policy troubleshooting — using the FortiOS diagnostic toolset (diagnose debug flow, diagnose sniffer packet, session table inspection, policy lookup) to find exactly why traffic is dropped or not NATed as expected.
  • VPN troubleshooting — diagnosing IPsec Phase 1/Phase 2 negotiation failures, mismatched proposals, NAT-T and routing issues that break site-to-site and remote-access tunnels.
  • Performance issues — identifying when SSL inspection, conserve mode, session exhaustion or an undersized model is the real bottleneck.
  • FortiOS upgrades — planned, tested firmware upgrades following the supported upgrade path, with config backup and rollback.
  • RMA and FortiCare coordination — we manage hardware replacement and warranty/FortiCare entitlement so a failed unit is swapped and restored from backup quickly.
  • FortiGuard subscription management — ensuring IPS, antivirus, web filtering and application control signatures stay current and licensed.

We offer reactive break-fix as well as proactive managed support with scheduled health checks, config reviews and patch management. Reach us any time on +966 50 993 9334 or through our contact page.

Development and integration services

Beyond install-and-support, SKYLINE integrates Fortinet into the rest of your environment so security data and automation actually flow:

  • FortiGate REST API automation — scripted policy provisioning, bulk object management and configuration-as-code so changes are version-controlled and repeatable.
  • SIEM/log integration — forwarding FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer logs to a third-party SIEM via syslog/CEF for centralized SOC monitoring.
  • Identity integration — Single Sign-On with Active Directory (FSSO), Azure AD / Entra ID, and RADIUS/LDAP for identity-aware policies.
  • Security Fabric integration — connecting FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient and FortiAnalyzer into a coordinated fabric with automation stitches that act on events automatically.
  • Cloud and hybrid — FortiGate-VM in private cloud / VMware environments and secure connectivity between on-premises Saudi sites and cloud workloads.

This is also where Fortinet meets the rest of your stack — we routinely integrate firewalls alongside the virtualization, backup and security tooling listed in our marketplace.

Fortinet FortiGate Firewall Installation & Support in Saudi Arabia — Frequently Asked Questions

Does SKYLINE install both hardware FortiGate appliances and FortiGate-VM?

Yes. We deploy physical FortiGate appliances (from branch models to data-center units) and FortiGate-VM in virtualized and private-cloud environments such as VMware vSphere, including HA clusters and SD-WAN in both cases.

Can you migrate our policies from an old firewall to a new FortiGate?

Yes. We run a structured migration from Cisco ASA, SonicWall, older FortiGate or other vendors, cleaning up redundant rules, mapping objects, and cutting over in a maintenance window with a tested rollback plan so you do not lose rules or open security gaps.

Do we need FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer if we only have one or two firewalls?

Usually not for management, since one or two firewalls are easily managed directly. FortiAnalyzer can still be worthwhile even at small scale for long-term log retention, reporting and audit evidence. We will recommend it only when it genuinely adds value for your size and compliance needs.

Do you provide ongoing FortiCare and FortiGuard subscription management?

Yes. We track FortiCare support entitlements and FortiGuard security subscriptions (IPS, antivirus, web filtering, application control), coordinate hardware RMA when a unit fails, and ensure your signatures and licenses stay current so protection does not lapse.
