Connect all your branch offices on one phone system across Saudi Arabia

SKYLINE Knowledge Base

Put every branch in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam on a single cloud phone system with free internal calls, one company number and a unified IVR — and open a new office with just an internet connection.

Running a business across more than one location in Saudi Arabia usually means juggling separate phone systems in each office — a box in Riyadh, another in Jeddah, a different setup in Dammam, and no easy way to call between them. Skyline Comms removes that fragmentation. It is Skyline's fully managed cloud business phone system, delivered from Skyline Cloud, and it puts every branch you operate on one shared phone system in the cloud.

This article focuses on the multi-site picture: how one cloud phone system connects all your offices, why branch-to-branch calls become free internal calls, and how opening a new location stops requiring a truck full of hardware.

One phone system, every branch

With a traditional setup, each office owns its own phone hardware — separate dial plans, separate maintenance, and expensive trunk calls between cities. Skyline Comms takes a different approach: the phone system lives in Skyline's cloud, and all your branches connect to the same system.

There is no on-premise PBX box, no phone server, and no rack or server room at any of your sites. Each office simply needs an internet connection and its phones — desk IP handsets, the desktop softphone, or the iOS and Android mobile apps. To learn how the hosted model works end to end, see our explainer on Cloud PBX in Saudi Arabia.

What "one system" gives you

  • A single company number that customers dial, regardless of which branch eventually answers.
  • A unified dial plan so a staff member's extension is the same wherever they sit or travel.
  • One IVR / auto-attendant that greets every caller consistently and routes them to the right team or city.
  • Central administration — one self-service console manages extensions and call routing for every location.

Free internal calls between cities — and across borders

Because every branch sits on the same cloud phone system, calls between extensions are internal calls. Reception in Riyadh dialling the warehouse in Dammam, or a sales rep in Jeddah reaching head office, is simply extension-to-extension — internal and free, regardless of distance.

This applies across cities and across countries. A colleague in an office abroad, or a team member travelling with the mobile app, is still just another extension on your system — internal calls between them carry no per-minute trunk charge.

A simple multi-site scenario

Imagine a trading group with three offices and a few remote staff:

| Location | Extensions | How they connect | | --- | --- | --- | | Riyadh (head office) | 101 reception, 102–120 staff | Desk IP phones + softphone | | Jeddah (branch) | 201 reception, 202–210 staff | Desk IP phones over branch internet | | Dammam (branch) | 301 reception, 302–308 staff | Desk IP phones + mobile apps | | Remote / field staff | 401–410 | Mobile app on any internet link |

The whole group shares one company number and one IVR: "Press 1 for Riyadh, 2 for Jeddah, 3 for Dammam, 4 for support." Reception in Riyadh can transfer a caller to extension 301 in Dammam in one step. Dammam can blind-call Jeddah's reception by dialling 201. Field staff carry the same extension on their phones whether they are on site or travelling. Nobody pays trunk rates to talk to a colleague.

Also worth knowing: because each business gets its own private, isolated tenant in the Skyline cloud, branches never clash on numbering even if you prefer every location's reception to be 101. That isolation is what makes the platform suit multi-entity groups and resellers — read more in One cloud phone platform for groups and multiple companies.

Opening a new branch just needs internet

The biggest practical win of a shared cloud system shows up when you grow. To bring a new office online with a traditional PBX, you would order lines, ship and rack a phone box, and schedule an engineer. With Skyline Comms, a new branch only needs an internet connection.

You add the new extensions in the admin console, staff plug in IP phones or sign in to the softphone and mobile apps, and the office is immediately part of your single dial plan, IVR and company number — no hardware to ship, no installation visit, no waiting on line provisioning. The same is true for individual remote and home workers, covered in Work from anywhere.

Connectivity, security and reliability across sites

Multi-site voice has to be both secure and dependable. Skyline Comms encrypts voice in transit by default — call signalling over TLS and audio over SRTP. For branches or remote staff who want their phones kept completely off the public internet, Skyline offers an optional private encrypted VPN tunnel so all voice rides an isolated path between the site and the Skyline cloud. It works over ordinary business internet, with the optional tunnel for extra isolation — see Secure cloud calling.

For numbers, Skyline provisions local Saudi numbers and supports porting your existing ones, working through licensed local carriers — so a group can keep familiar city numbers under one system. And because the platform is cloud-hosted with carrier-grade redundancy, a branch internet outage need not mean missed calls: calls can fail over to the mobile app or to mobile numbers.

Skyline Comms is hosted from Skyline's cloud and designed around Saudi expectations — aligned with CST/CITC telecom regulation for voice and built with NCA and PDPL data-protection considerations in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Do all my branches really share one phone system?

Yes. Every branch connects to the same phone system in the Skyline cloud, so you have one dial plan, one IVR and one company number across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and any office abroad. There is no separate hardware system per site.

Are calls between my offices free?

Calls between extensions on your system are internal calls — branch-to-branch and city-to-city, and even country-to-country — with no per-minute trunk charge. Outbound calls to external numbers go through licensed carriers as usual.

What do I need to open a new branch?

An internet connection. You add the extensions in the self-service admin console, staff connect IP phones or the softphone/mobile apps, and the new office joins your unified system right away — no hardware to ship or install.

What does it cost to add more sites or extensions?

Skyline Comms is billed as a low, predictable per-seat monthly fee in Saudi Riyals through the Skyline Cloud portal, with no upfront capital cost for hardware. Adding a branch means adding extensions — see live pricing in the portal or request a quote.

Can each branch keep its own extension numbers?

Yes. Each business has its own isolated tenant and numbering space, so locations never clash — every branch's reception can be 101 if you like. This is especially useful for groups and resellers.
