S Panel: Your Web Hosting Control Panel

SKYLINE Knowledge Base

A complete customer tour of S Panel, your Skyline Cloud web hosting control panel: how to open it with one-click Single Sign-On (no separate password), plus every area from Websites and the built-in VS Code-style editor to Databases, SSL, DNS, FTP, Email, Backups, and one-click apps.

S Panel is your web hosting control panel inside Skyline Cloud. It is where you create and manage websites, edit your files, run databases, issue SSL certificates, and more. Every customer is fully isolated to their own account — you can only ever see and manage your own sites, files, databases, and email. You can never see another customer's data, and they can never see yours.

This guide walks through how to open S Panel and tours each area so you know exactly what you can do.

How to open S Panel (Single Sign-On — no extra password)

You do not create or remember a separate S Panel password. Instead, you open S Panel directly from your Skyline Cloud portal using Single Sign-On (SSO):

  1. Sign in to your portal at https://cloud.alskyline.com.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Web Hosting.
  3. The portal signs you straight into your own S Panel account and opens the panel.

S Panel is secured with a real Let's Encrypt certificate, and access is handled by single sign-on from the portal — there is no separate login form to fill in. Your Skyline Cloud identity is what grants you access to your isolated hosting account.

Tip: If you do not yet see a Web Hosting menu, you may not have an active hosting plan. Web hosting (Shared, Dedicated, or Cloud) is purchased separately from email; the portal will prompt you to add it.

Websites

The Websites area is where everything starts. From here you can:

  • Create a new website for a domain you manage.
  • Manage existing sites and their settings.
  • Choose or change the PHP version for each site.

When you point a site's traffic to Skyline hosting, set your domain's A record to the hosting address shown for your account in the Skyline Cloud portal. If your domain's DNS is fully delegated to Skyline name servers, you can manage that record from the DNS editor (covered below); if your DNS stays with another provider, add the A record there.

File Manager — with a built-in VS Code-style code editor

The File Manager lets you browse and manage all of your site's files right in the browser — upload, download, create folders, rename, move, and delete.

The standout feature is the built-in code editor. It is Monaco-based — the same editing engine that powers VS Code — so editing your site files in the browser feels just like a desktop editor:

  • Syntax highlighting for your code.
  • Line numbers for easy navigation.
  • Multi-file editing so you can work across several files.
  • Edit a file directly in place and save it back to your site — no separate FTP round-trip required for quick changes.

This makes the File Manager ideal for small fixes (editing a config value, a template, or a stylesheet) or for working through your site files without leaving the panel.

Databases + phpMyAdmin

The Databases area lets you create and manage MySQL / MariaDB databases for your sites. It also includes phpMyAdmin, so you can run queries, browse tables, import and export data, and manage your database schema through a familiar web interface. As with everything else in S Panel, your databases are isolated to your own account.

SSL — automatic Let's Encrypt

The SSL area handles HTTPS for your sites using Let's Encrypt certificates, issued and renewed automatically. This keeps your visitors' connections encrypted and your padlock green without you having to buy or manually install certificates.

DNS zone editor

If you manage a domain's DNS within Skyline, the DNS editor lets you edit your zone records (A, MX, TXT, and more) directly. This is most powerful when your domain is delegated to Skyline's name servers (ns1.alskyline.com and ns2.alskyline.com), because Skyline then hosts all of your DNS and you can manage every record in one place.

FTP accounts

The FTP area lets you create FTP accounts for uploading and managing files with a desktop FTP client. This is useful for bulk uploads, deployments, or giving a developer scoped access to your site files.

Email

S Panel includes basic Email functionality for creating simple SMTP accounts on your hosting.

Note: For full business email — webmail, calendars, contacts, advanced anti-spam, and Outlook support — Skyline's dedicated business email platform is the recommended option, configured separately in your portal under Domains → Email authentication. Use S Panel's email for basic hosting mailboxes; use the business email plans for your primary mail.

Backups

The Backups area lets you create and manage backups of your hosting account, so you can capture a known-good copy of your files and databases and restore if something goes wrong. Regular backups are a good habit before any major change to your site.

One-click apps

S Panel includes one-click apps to deploy popular applications quickly, so you can get a working site up without manual installation steps.

Everything stays isolated to you

It is worth repeating: each customer is fully isolated to their own S Panel account. Your websites, files, databases, email, DNS, and backups are visible and manageable only by you. You cannot see other tenants, and they cannot see you — isolation is enforced at the account level.
