Tier III Data Centre Design & Build

A major financial institution in Saudi Arabia needed a Tier III-certified data centre to host its core banking infrastructure locally, meeting both SAMA (Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority) data residency requirements and SACS-002 compliance. The client had a tight 10-month timeline and required 99.982% uptime guarantees with N+1 redundancy across all critical systems — power, cooling, networking, and fire suppression.

SKYLINE managed the complete lifecycle — from architectural design and civil works through to commissioning and handover. The 200kW facility features HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10+ servers in 42U racks, Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches with redundant uplinks, Schneider Electric Galaxy VX UPS with 30-minute battery runtime, in-row Schneider precision cooling units, and Novec 1230 clean agent fire suppression. All systems operate in N+1 configuration. We achieved SACS-002 compliance certification on first audit.

The data centre has operated at 99.982% uptime since commissioning — exceeding the Tier III target. The client successfully migrated 100% of its core banking workloads within 6 weeks of handover. Energy efficiency achieved a PUE of 1.45, significantly below the regional average of 1.8. The facility passed SACS-002 compliance audit on the first attempt and SAMA inspection without findings.
